Shadow was a wonderful female pug. She came into our life as a puppy in the summer of 2010, and left still possessing the spirit of a puppy March 21, 2019.
Shadow's defining characteristic was her ability to radiate joy, enthusiasm, and love, in spite of facing a constant series of difficult and painful challenges in life. She would bring you the ball to play when she could hardly stand, put on a show for you rolling on her back while paying with her favorite toy, then hop up on your lap and make it clear you were the most important person in the world. She was only a foot tall, but would happily follow you on a walk for miles around the neighborhood, in the woods, or at the beach. She had a PhD in cuddling, yet had boundless energy and managed to keep up with her sister physically in spite of being smaller and much less athletically gifted.
Shadow was a special dog with a special place in our hearts that will always be there, even in her absence.
